Agriculture for Community Restoration Economic Justice and Sustainability
“Organizing against the food apartheid in St. Louis to improve food access and representation of local food systems.”
Our mission is to build community power with Black neighborhoods, urban and rural farmers, assisting in creating an equitable and sustainable food system rooted in culture. We aim to create a culture that elevates Black Farmers and Black Communities organizing towards self-determination over their food system and built environment. Educational classes taught on the farm are free to Walnut Park residents.
Our biodynamic urban farm employs permaculture techniques and organic practices to grow vegetables, herbs, and medicinal plants that are donated to the community.
