Join us to learn how you can utilize vermicomposting (composting with worms) as a low overhead, low time commitment way to maximize your soil health! Using worm castings and worm casting tea on your farm will:

  • Reduce the amount you have to spend on fertilizers and amendments
  • Increase pest and disease resistance
  • Improve soil structure
  • Increase moisture retention
  • Increase nutrient uptake for crops
  • Quickly process farm waste such as manure, weeds, and fruit and veggie waste
  • Maximize food and flower production

This event is designed for aspiring and active farmers.

Ro built out and managed a 1/3 acre mixed produce farm for 3 seasons. This farm had no life anywhere when it began (not even a single worm anywhere!). By prioritizing the use of worm castings and worm casting tea on the farm, it was absolutely exploding with produce by the third season! Ro wants to share with you how you can make this happen on your farm. If you can make the time to join in on this workshop, it will be well worth it! They currently facilitate the Feed the People Garden Project and own Ro’s Wigglers.

Suggested Donation: $20

This event is FREE for Known & Grown Farmers.

We want this workshop to be accessible. Please contribute what you can. All donations will support Known & Grown STL.

FOR ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS, WE WILL BE RAFFLING OFF A READY-TO-GO-WORM BIN FROM RO’S WIGGLERS!
