About Sam Wiseman
Sam started Sunflower Savannah with her husband, Billy, in 2000 and dedicated herself to producing the healthiest food possible and sharing it with everyone she could. As an active member of Known & Grown and a founding vendor at the Tower Grove Market, she loved feeding her community and supporting farmers. Sam championed regenerative farming practices, heritage breeds, and relished in introducing people to new foods with real flavor. As spicy as her famous salsa, Sam stood firm in her beliefs as a Christian and as a farmer trying to make the world a better place. Her farm was open to friends and volunteers to share her knowledge, enjoy a potluck, and end the day with a swim in The Lake.

To qualify for this award, a nominee must be a farmer in Samโs community of farmers through the Known & Grown, Tower Grove Farmers Market, Certified Naturally Grown, or Slow Food St. Louis.
