Join Known & Grown STL for our 2025 Fall Farmer Festival fundraiser! Support our organization and enjoy family-friendly fall activities like live music, kids’ crafts, a pie contest, educational activities, and a silent auction! You’ll have the chance to meet some of Known & Grown’s network of sustainable farmers as well as other great local businesses and organizations!
Bring a blanket and chairs to relax in the garden, browse goodies from your local farmers, eat some delicious food, and bid on some unique items at our auction table. If you’re lucky, you could win a farm stay or Bison Experience. We hope to see you there!

Even though this is a fundraising event, we want to make our ticket price accessible to the community. Choose the option from 3 ticket prices that feels appropriate to your financial capacity. We appreciate the generosity of those who are able to pay more.

Community: $10
Supporter: $20 | Helps us keep our Community ticket price low.
Activator: $40 | Activates our ability to provide free tickets.

We’re thrilled to have Shamus McFerson providing live music. Plan to bring a blanket or a chair and settle in! He’ll play multiple sets with breaks in between so you don’t miss anything!
Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.

BEVERAGES: Natural History Brewing Collective makes low-alcohol beer and non-alcoholic sparkling honey beverages with a focus on sustainable and local ingredient sourcing. @drinknaturalhistory
We’ll have lots of fun activities for the kiddos, including:
- cornhusk dollmaking
- facepainting
- coloring activities
- bubbles
- hoophouse painting
- garlic planting
- pumpkin tic tac toe
- and more!

Can I pet that goat?! Get up close and personal with Gus, Woodie, and Rosie–Nigerian Dwarf goats from The Stull Farm. Learn all about goats and their silly antics with farmer PJ.

We will be auctioning an exciting selection of items from local farmers, businesses, and organizations. Bidding opens at 1pm. Check back frequently during the event to update your bids. Winning bids will be announced immediately after the auction closes at 3pm. All winners must retrieve their items by 4pm.

Enter the contest. Let’s put those baking skills to the test! Showcase your soon-to-be award-winning pie during the festival. Participants will receive one free festival admission. Accepting entries until Friday, Oct 31.
1st Place Prize: FREE Cooking Class ($95 value) at Fennel Cooking Studio
Judges will be selected ahead of time, but attendees are encouraged to participate with oohs and ahhs as each pie is introduced. While our judges will be feeding their faces with flaky crusts and fillings baked to perfection, don’t be jealous. Each of our bakers will be bringing a second pie that you will have the opportunity to take home with you through out silent auction!

Join Midtown Community Farmers in sprucing up their hoophouse with a bit of decorative flair. Grab a brush and add your artistic mark! Everyone is welcome to participate. We ask parents/guardians to assist and supervise children with this activity.
Join Midtown Community Farm in planting garlic in the garden beds for the upcoming season. Learn all about how garlic is planted in the fall!
Grab a comfy blanket or a seat on a straw bale and join local children’s book author Steph Plant on an immersive storytelling journey.



Steph Plant is a Montessori trained singer/songwriter and children’s book author/illustrator based out of Edwardsville, Illinois. Her current published book based on her song “Slithering Snake” has become a favorite in schools, libraries, and homes around the world since it’s completion in 2017. In 2019 she recorded her first children’s album “Moth Wings & Other Things” which features 12 enchanting original songs inspired by the natural world. https://www.stephplantbooks.com/

Are you a farmer, local business, or organization interested in selling products, leading a fun educational activity, or just connecting with the community? Complete our Vendor Application by Oct 6th. Vendor fee: $25 (This fee is waived for Known & Grown farmers and nonprofits.)

We are seeking individuals to assist with various tasks during the event. Shifts are typically 1.5 hours and include free admission.
