We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the future of the Known & Grown STL program. At the start of 2024, Known & Grown farmers advocated for an independent, farmer-led organization to continue the work of Known & Grown and better serve our region’s farmers. We are pleased to announce that Gateway Sustainable Farmers Alliance (GSFA), a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was created to put farmers at the center of the work we do in the St Louis food community.
As many of you know, Known & Grown has made significant strides in promoting sustainable farming and supporting local farmers in our community. With the formation of the Gateway Sustainable Farmers Alliance, we aim to build on this momentum, empowering farmers, enhancing local food systems, and fostering connections within our community.
We invite all interested community members, farmers, and supporters to join us as we embark on this new chapter. Your involvement is vital to our success!
