“Our mission is to provide healthy, tasty, fresh, and great quality food to our community through sustainable farming methods.”
Although not certified organic, it has been our practice since day one of owning the farm to avoid all synthetic chemicals and use only natural methods. Our animals are raised on pasture with fresh air and sunshine in their daily diet. We have mobile chicken/turkey tractors to keep them in at night (to avoid predation). The broiler chickens are moved daily across the pasture. The turkeys and egg layer chickens have an electric net fence to protect them from foxes and coyotes during the day. We make a lot of our own compost for the vegetable garden using leaves, yard and vegetable waste and the bedding from the mobile egg laying coop as well as the brooder where we raise the baby poultry. Any compost other than this is purchased from a local supplier that is organic certified. We want the products that we raise to be nutrient dense and free of chemicals and we are now using GMO free feed.
