“We are Farmers in the East St Louis families for a lifetime through Farming”.

Food Space Farm is a self-sufficient, hands-on space growing organic produce. Our integrity adds value to the land. The farm, originally called Herman Gomilla Farm, was started by Herman Gomilla and Betty L. and is now a continued extension through the family with various programs, including teaching and events.

Our work began in the early part of the 90’s with our first hog farm. We raised with family values, and expanded our dynasty across the Midwest, East St Louis, IL, and Brooklyn,IL, where we raised hogs and chickens. As of today, we offer agri-services to families who want to do more than learn, to be part of the land culture in farming in an urban neighborhood setting. We offer self-sufficient tools for all ages to be a part of farming and to help build a lifetime of skills. We grow a variety of tomatoes, flowers, peppers, and fruits.
