Seeds of Hope Farm is operated by the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC) to relieve the burden of poverty and uplift communities in St Louis County by spreading knowledge about food, nutrition, and agriculture.
Seeds of Hope Farm works to increase food security by spreading knowledge about food, nutrition, and agriculture. Our approach improves the availability of nutritious food with our FREE “You Pick” produce subscription program for income-eligible St Louis County residents, as well as food pantry donations.
We also focus on education with classes in cooking, gardening, and our STEM on the Farm program which brings immersive hands-on learning experiences to local elementary students.
Our farm consists of half an acre of vegetable production and another acre dotted with demonstration areas of native plants, shrubs, trees, and hugelkultur. The farm is maintained with help from community volunteers.
