BLH Farm

“We grow edible and decorative flowers alongside medicinal herbs and a small apiary.”

“We are stewards of our land and are a committed no-till farm practicing regenerative ag. No chemicals, lots of cover crops, a preference for native species.

We are second-generation Missouri farmers committed to improving our soil through regenerative practices. We are a no-till farm growing in permanent raised beds — once formed, we never disturb them — and we don’t use chemical inputs.

At the farm we grow native and medicinal plants alongside a collection of specialty cut flowers on a hilltop below our apiary.

We also have a residential composting service collecting food waste from St Louis households. We make compost and a lot of worm castings.

We deliver flowers, worms, and bokashi composting supplies to the STL area. We also supply complete bokashi kits that include everything you need to start composting using the bokashi method! Our kit includes our custom-made bokashi bin and tools (tray, scoop, collection cup) and a month’s supply of our farm-fermentted MO-kashi bran as well as instructions on bokashi composting. We brew our MO-kashi bran using wheat germ milled in our region from locally-grown certified organic wheat with microbes from Teraganix. It’s the same bran we use extensively as part of our suite of regenerative growing practices and we think it’s super for indoor anaerobic composting.

New to bokashi? Each bin is labeled with clear step-by-step instructions on composting household food waste in minutes.”
